WATCH: Eyal Maoz Crazy Slavic Band perform at 2011 Tzadik Radical Jewish Culture Festival
Crazy Slavis Band is just one of the three acts at our upcoming Eavesdropping: Ethnix series show on April 19th. Modern composer and curator Guy Barash’s new music series “Eavesdropping” returns to The Tank to present some of today’s most daring performers and surprising composers.

Nadav Lev, guitar and Remy Yulzari, double bass; The border-crossing Lev-Yulzari duo explores folkloric materials from different traditions, in a personal approach that derives from various musical genres. The program for this evening revolves around Jewish influences, including Sephardic music, klezmer and more.

Our next Eavesdropping show is Thursday 3/15 and features:
- Composer/violinist Cornelius Dufallo (of ETHEL) teams up with composer/bassist Patrick Derivaz for a new collaboration entitled Bass Violin.
- Urban Resonance: music for strings by members of Nodes Contemporary Music Collective Matt Giannotti, Andrew Struck-Marcell, Enrico Arcaro, Conor Brown, and Paul Frucht.
- Saying I, repeating the word many times with Amanda Lo, violin; and Naoko Maeshiba, choreography and dance
- There is Smoke on the Mountain So There is Fire with Jas Walton, tenor sax; and Stuart Bogie, tenor sax

Eavesdropping announces Winter 2012 season
Modern composer and curator Guy Barash’s new music series “Eavesdropping” returns to The Tank to present some of today’s most daring performers and surprising composers.
For artists, Eavesdropping provides a stage for risk-taking and the exploration of the non-conventional in sound, to present a relevant boundary-breaking artistic work. Shows often include multi-media elements, real time electronic processing, and performance art.
For our audiences, we are committed to presenting innovative repertoire that is relevant and intriguing. Eavesdropping is cross-genres new music series presented to the city’s inquisitive listener. The one that seen it all and heard it all but crave for cultural excitement.
