Come on down to The Tank Thursday, 12/13/2012 at 7:00 pm to see Irene Fitzgerald-Cherry perform in the Eavesdropping series!
Australian-American violinist Irene Fitzgerald-Cherry just completed her MFA at the Swedish National Orchestra Academy in Göteborg, Sweden. As part of her goal to bring little known contemporary works to the public ear, Irene has organized recitals at the Bennington Museum featuring 20th century solos and duos in collaboration with colleagues Julian Cartwright, guitar, and Nathan Heidelberger, piano. She has performed in recitals for NYU Steinhardt composers, recording sessions for Steinhardt’s film scoring program, and in various ensembles including the Empire State Youth Orchestra, the Saratoga Springs Youth Orchestra and the Sage City Symphony.
