A very special message from your improv competition hosts, The Garys:

Among the teams performing at the WILDCARD show on June 8th, Dog Court managed to secure the audience vote and advanced to the FINALS later that night.  While all groups were great, only one impressed the judges and audience, alike, to take home the first place prize of $300 cash, a spot in the Empire Comedy Festival and a giant (fake) check.  Congratulations to the lovely ladies of Funkle Todd (photo above) who managed to win the FINALS despite only performing with only two members!  Congratulations to our only musical improv team in the tournament, Petting Zoo (photo below), who took the second place prize of $100 cash.

The Garys are grateful to all who submitted, performed or attended tournament!  We are especially thankful for our guest judges Jim Santangeli and Chelsea Clarke who were hilarious.  They both can be seen performing at UCB with The Curfew every Saturday night at 7:30p.
